THERE'S ALWAYS A BETTER YOU

"She was unstoppable, not because she did not have failures or doubts, but because she continued on despite them" - author unknown
Let's chat. Let's get deep for a minute. Everyone has moments of doubt or insecurity. "Could I have handled that differently", "How can I be better at...", "Dang, why did I...", I mean we've all said something like this, probably multiple times a year.
Real talk, I had a recent moment with my boss, HR and my natural impulse to be protective. Believe me, looking back my boss is one tough lady. No protection needed. And I'm not going to go into any more detail than that. But in this moment I knew I was doing the right thing, until I didn't.
Here's the deal... every present moment becomes the past, and the past is the best teacher we've got. So learn from these moments of self doubt and insecurity rather than dismissing them.
Don't hide, purge the doubt and insecurities. Talk it out! Call your best friend, mom, counselor, etc. Or talk to someone that knows about the situation - in my case that was my boss. Not into letting others see you vulnerable...that's a whole different blog... but for now, have a double sided conversation with yourself and record it. Just hold yourself accountable to be a better, more confident you!
Take those doubts, insecurities, moments of weakness, failures and all the other negatives plaguing you and embrace them. Learn from them and know how to navigate them in the future.
I write all these extra words just to bring home my real message:
I have come to learn in this moment, at this exact second, I am the best version of me. In the next moment, I will be the past version of my best self and the future me will be wiser and better because of my past and present actions. This applies to all. We are in a constant state of learning. Take those lessons and become better than the best you.
