A SOLDIERS WHISPERS

I lost my battle brothers
for a war that we believed in.
I lost a part of me,
for a truth that I could see.
But I've come to tell you Darlin'
in the middle of this darkness
It's a warning while you sleep
of the troubles we're in deep.
For our country follows blindly
words of only certain people
No when, no why, no where, no how
of this country's people now.
I surely am quite saddened
seeing all of the destruction.
Knowing everything that's lost
rooted hatred and the cost.
'Cause the country that I fought for,
the one we died to love,
It slips farther to the dark days
as you keep in foolish ways.
