Mom Morning Alert

You know how it's clear your going to have an interesting day? Well, it starts something like this...

Your four year old walks into your room at 6:40 a.m. :

4 yr. old: (very seriously says) "So, mom..."

Me: "Yes honey"

4 yr. old: (has her, always with her, blankets in one hand and throws up the other) "I peed my bed."

You guys... just the seriousness in her voice, her facial expressions and body language. It was like she was in the most important conversation of her life. I can't even! It was cute, it was kind of funny, it was a mess all in one lovely short dialog.

So we begin the day with stripping the little one and in the tub she goes. Then it's time to wake the 7 yr. old and get her going for the school day. So breakfast is served! Then it's back to the youngest. Get her washed, let her play in the tub while you strip the bed.

Start to take the soiled sheets to the laundry. Accidentally step on the potty pad one of your dogs used the night before and almost bite it! Ya'll I some how stayed upright but dang! And I know right.... EWWW!...Pee meet foot.

I love potty pads. Especially for senior pups or ones that just can't hold their bladder all night long. But whatever "gel" is in the middle of those suckers gets slicker than snot when wet! They really should come with a warning! But then, I guess they aren't expecting people to step on them either.

Anyway, I digress. So now, I've got to clean the floor from the path of the potty pad to the washer, and washer to the bathroom sink, where I've walked with my pee foot. And yes, by now the pee pad is in the trash and my foot is clean again.

Anyway, little one got bathed, the oldest daughter got to school on time, and I got to work just fine. But the sheets, the soiled ones, kind of never made into the washer. Hey, don't judge! They are sitting in front of it least. I meant to go back and rotate all the laundry - dryer clothes to a basket, washer clothes to the dryer, and soiled sheets to the washer - but then things got busy and I forgot. So the sheets will wait and the day will go on!
